A rich, hearty, and flavorful beef stew packed with tender chunks of meat, carrots, bell peppers, and potatoes, all simmered to perfection in a savory sauce.

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg beef stew meat, cut into chunks
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 carrots, sliced
  • 2 potatoes, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 red bell pepper, chopped
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tsp thyme (optional)
  • 2 cups beef broth or water

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a large pot over medium-high heat. Brown the beef chunks on all sides. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same pot, sauté onions and garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add tomato paste, paprika, salt, pepper, and thyme. Stir well.
  4. Return beef to the pot. Add carrots, potatoes, and bell peppers.
  5. Pour in beef broth or water to cover ingredients.
  6. Cover and simmer on low heat for 1.5 to 2 hours until beef is tender and the sauce thickens.
  7. Serve hot with rice, bread, or as is. Enjoy!
