Ingredients

For the cookies

Instructions

1️⃣ Make the dough

  1. In a bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  2. Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until combined.
  3. Gradually mix in flour, baking powder, and salt until a dough forms.

2️⃣ Shape the cookies

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Roll the dough into 1½-inch balls. Flatten each ball slightly, creating an indentation in the center for the filling.

3️⃣ Add the filling

  1. Spoon about 1 teaspoon of strawberry jam into the center of each cookie.

4️⃣ Bake

  1. Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. Let cool completely.

5️⃣ Decorate with icing

  1. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract to create the icing.
