Ingredients

  • 700g fresh salmon fillet
  • 500g fresh spinach
  • 600g potatoes
  • 1 onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated cheese (Gruyère or Emmental)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Chopped chives (for garnish)
  • Butter (for greasing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat: Set oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking dish with butter.
  2. Prep Potatoes: Peel and slice potatoes thinly. Boil until just tender, then drain.
  3. Sauté Spinach: In a pan, sauté onion and garlic. Add spinach and cook until wilted. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Layer: Arrange half the potatoes in the dish. Add spinach mixture, then top with salmon pieces. Finish with remaining potatoes.
  5. Cream & Cheese: Pour cream evenly over the dish. Sprinkle grated cheese on top.
  6. Bake: Bake for 30–35 minutes until golden and bubbling.
  7. Garnish: Sprinkle with chopped chives before serving.
