For the Glaze

  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1–2 tbsp milk
  • ÂĽ tsp vanilla or almond extract

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8-inch baking dish.
  2. Slice Rolls: Cut rolls in half horizontally. Place bottom layer in dish.
  3. Make Filling: Beat cream cheese, egg yolk, sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Fold in flour.
  4. Assemble: Spread filling over bottom rolls. Place top layer over filling to form a sandwich.
  5. Bake: Bake 20–25 minutes until golden brown and set. Cool slightly on wire rack.
  6. Glaze: Whisk powdered sugar, milk, and extract until smooth. Drizzle over warm pastry.
