Ingredients
- 10 cups (16 oz bag) mini pretzel twists
- 1 cup lightly packed light brown sugar
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cubed
- ¼ cup light corn syrup
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ tsp baking soda
- 1 bag Heath toffee bits
Instructions
- Prep: Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Lightly grease a large roasting pan. Add pretzels and set aside.
- Make Toffee: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and baking soda (mixture will bubble).
- Coat Pretzels: Pour hot toffee mixture over pretzels. Sprinkle half the toffee bits. Toss to coat evenly.
- Bake: Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating.
- Finish: Spread baked pretzels onto wax paper. Sprinkle with remaining toffee bits. Let set for 1 hour until hardened.
