Crunchy, nutty, and dipped in chocolate—these Florentines are a classic treat with a festive twist!

Ingredients

  • 100g peeled almonds
  • 100g whole hazelnuts
  • 100g candied cherries, chopped
  • 100g powdered sugar
  • 100g butter
  • 50g honey
  • 50g flour
  • 100g dark chocolate (for finishing)

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Set oven to 180°C (thermostat 6). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Make Base: In a saucepan, melt butter with sugar and honey over low heat until smooth.
  3. Mix Ingredients: Remove from heat. Stir in flour, almonds, hazelnuts, and candied cherries until well coated.
  4. Shape: Drop spoonfuls of mixture onto the tray, spacing slightly.
  5. Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool on tray.
  6. Chocolate Finish: Melt dark chocolate. Dip the bottom of each Florentine into the chocolate.
  7. Set: Let chocolate harden before serving.
