Caramel Apple Trifles 🍎✨

Ingredients
Caramel Sauce
- 1 cup (207 g) granulated sugar
- ½ cup (120 ml) water
- ¼ cup (56 g) unsalted butter
- ½ cup (120 ml) heavy whipping cream
- ½ tbsp vanilla extract
- ½–1 tsp salt
- Optional: Use store-bought caramel sauce
Cinnamon Apples
- 3 Granny Smith apples, peeled and diced
- 2 tsp lemon juice
- ⅛ tsp nutmeg
- 1½ tsp cinnamon
- 4 tbsp (56 g) packed brown sugar
Cinnamon Whipped Cream
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy whipping cream
- ½ cup (58 g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
Additional
- 1 cup cinnamon granola (store-bought or homemade)
Instructions
- Make Caramel Sauce: Combine sugar and water in a saucepan over medium-low heat, stirring until dissolved (3–5 minutes). Add butter, melt, then bring to a boil. Stop stirring and cook until golden (10–15 minutes), swirling occasionally. Remove from heat, whisk in cream carefully, then add vanilla and salt. Cool to room temperature.
- Prepare Cinnamon Apples: In a pan, cook apples with lemon juice, nutmeg, cinnamon, and brown sugar over medium-low heat for 10–15 minutes until softened. Cool.
- Make Whipped Cream: Beat heavy cream, powdered sugar, and cinnamon until stiff peaks form.
- Assemble Trifles: In 4 glasses or jars, layer whipped cream, granola, caramel, and apples. Repeat layers. Drizzle caramel on top.
Serving Tips
- Chill trifles for 2–3 hours before serving for best flavor.
