Ingredients:

  • 250g unsalted butter (softened)
  • 150g powdered sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 400g all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. In a large bowl, beat the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter mixture, mixing until a smooth dough forms.
  6. Shape the dough into small balls and flatten them slightly. Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  7. Bake for 12–15 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
  8. Let the cookies cool completely before serving or storing in an airtight container.

Notes:

  • For extra flavor, add lemon or orange zest to the dough.
  • You can sprinkle sugar on top before baking for a crunchy touch.
