Ingredients:

  • 1 small green papaya, peeled and grated
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2–3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/4 cup cooked chicken or canned tuna
  • Fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp chili powder (optional)
  • Spring roll wrappers
  • Oil for frying

Instructions:

  1. Heat oil in a pan. Sauté onion and garlic until soft.
  2. Add grated papaya, tuna/chicken, herbs, and chili powder. Cook until soft and fragrant. Let cool.
  3. Place a spoonful of filling on a spring roll wrapper. Roll tightly and seal edges with a bit of water.
  4. Heat oil in a pan and deep-fry rolls until golden brown and crispy.
  5. Drain on paper towels and serve hot with sweet chili sauce or your favorite dip.
