Ingredients

  • 10 cups (16 oz bag) mini pretzel twists
  • 1 cup lightly packed light brown sugar

  • ¼ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • 1 bag Heath toffee bits

Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 200°F (93°C). Lightly grease a large roasting pan. Add pretzels and set aside.
  2. Make Toffee: In a saucepan, combine brown sugar, butter, and corn syrup. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and whisk in vanilla and baking soda (mixture will bubble).
  3. Coat Pretzels: Pour hot toffee mixture over pretzels. Sprinkle half the toffee bits. Toss to coat evenly.
  4. Bake: Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes to ensure even coating.
  5. Finish: Spread baked pretzels onto wax paper. Sprinkle with remaining toffee bits. Let set for 1 hour until hardened.
  6. Serve: Break into clusters and package or enjoy immediately.
