Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup (100g) sugar
  • 2 cups (250g) all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup (80g) chocolate chips or chunks
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • A pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Cream: Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in condensed milk and vanilla.
  2. Dry Mix: Sift flour, baking powder, and salt. Fold into wet mixture to form soft dough.
  3. Add Chocolate: Stir in chocolate chips or chunks evenly.
  4. Chill: Cover and refrigerate dough for 20–30 minutes.
  5. Preheat: Set oven to 170°C (340°F). Line baking tray with parchment paper.
  6. Shape: Scoop small balls of dough, flatten slightly, and place spaced on tray.
  7. Bake: Bake 12–15 minutes until edges are lightly golden.
  8. Cool: Let cookies cool on tray before transferring to rack.
