Ingredients
For the Chicken
- 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp garlic powder
For the Garlic Butter Alfredo Sauce
- 3 tbsp butter
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp dried parsley (or 1 tbsp fresh)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
For the Pasta
- 12 oz linguine
- Salt for boiling water
Instructions
- Cook the Linguine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
- Season & Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook 6–8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Finish Sauce: Stir in Parmesan cheese and parsley. Season with salt and pepper. Add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
- Combine: Toss cooked linguine and chicken into the sauce. Mix until pasta is coated and chicken is evenly distributed.
- Serve: Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley. Serve hot.
