Ingredients

For the Chicken

  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder

For the Garlic Butter Alfredo Sauce

  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (or 1 tbsp fresh)
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Pasta

  • 12 oz linguine
  • Salt for boiling water

Instructions

  1. Cook the Linguine: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add linguine and cook until al dente. Reserve ½ cup pasta water, then drain and set aside.
  2. Season & Cook the Chicken: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken, season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Cook 6–8 minutes until golden and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
  3. Make the Sauce: In the same skillet, melt butter. Add garlic and sauté 1 minute until fragrant. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth. Simmer 3–4 minutes until slightly thickened.
  4. Finish Sauce: Stir in Parmesan cheese and parsley. Season with salt and pepper. Add reserved pasta water if needed for consistency.
  5. Combine: Toss cooked linguine and chicken into the sauce. Mix until pasta is coated and chicken is evenly distributed.
  6. Serve: Garnish with extra Parmesan and parsley. Serve hot.
