- 1 can (12–14 oz) evaporated milk
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup shredded sweetened coconut
- 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 tub (16 oz) German chocolate frosting OR coconut-pecan frosting
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Layer Base: Sprinkle coconut evenly over dish bottom. Add pecans, then chocolate chips.
- Add Frosting: Spread entire tub of frosting over the top—do not stir.
- Add Cake Mix: Pour dry cake mix evenly over frosting layer.
- Pour Liquid: Mix melted butter and evaporated milk. Pour slowly over cake mix. Do not stir.
- Bake: Bake 45–55 minutes until top is set and edges bubble.
- Cool & Serve: Cool slightly before serving warm.
