Ingredients
- 1 cup ketchup
- ½ cup apple cider vinegar
- ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1 tbsp onion powder
- 1 tbsp garlic powder
- 1 tbsp paprika
- 1 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- ½ tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan, combine all ingredients.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring occasionally.
- Reduce heat to low and simmer 15–20 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Remove from heat and let cool completely.
- Taste and adjust seasonings: add sugar for sweetness, vinegar for tang, or cayenne for heat.
- Transfer to an airtight container and refrigerate at least 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.
