Ingredients:

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds or coarse salt for topping (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Add yogurt and mix until a dough forms.
  4. Transfer dough to a floured surface and knead for a few minutes until smooth.
  5. Divide dough into 6 portions and roll each into a ball.
  6. Press a hole in the center of each dough ball to shape into bagels.
  7. Place on the baking sheet. Brush tops with beaten egg and sprinkle toppings if desired.
  8. Bake for 20–25 minutes or until golden brown.
  9. Let cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
