Mediterranean Salmon Patties With Feta

Mediterranean Salmon Patties With Feta 🐟🧀🌿✨

Golden on the outside, tender inside—these salmon patties deliver bright herbs, creamy feta, and cozy Mediterranean spices.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh salmon fillet, cooked and flaked
  • 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ cup panko breadcrumbs
  • ¼ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp ground cumin
  • Salt & black pepper, to taste
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for pan-frying)

Instructions

  1. Prep salmon: Cook salmon (bake, steam, or pan-sear) and let cool. Flake into a large bowl, removing any skin and bones.
  2. Mix: Add feta, panko, parsley, eggs, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper. Gently combine until the mixture holds together; add a little extra panko if too wet.
  3. Shape: Form 8–10 small patties (about 2½–3 inches wide). Chill 10–15 minutes for easier handling.
  4. Cook: Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Fry patties 3–4 minutes per side until deep golden and cooked through.
  5. Serve: Drain briefly on paper towels. Plate with lemon wedges and your favorite dip.

Tips

  • Extra zest: Add lemon zest and a pinch of smoked paprika for brightness and depth.
  • Bind better: If patties crumble, chill longer or add 1–2 tsp mayo or an extra spoon of breadcrumbs.
  • Bake option: Bake at 400°F (200°C) on a lined sheet for 12–15 minutes, flipping once, for a lighter version.
  • Serving ideas: Pair with tzatziki, garlic yogurt, or tahini sauce; serve in pita with lettuce and tomatoes.
