Rich, chewy, and layered with chocolate and peanut butter—these bars are the ultimate quick dessert!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 cups quick cooking oats
  • 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • ½ cup peanut butter

Instructions

  1. Prepare Pan: Grease a 9×9 inch square pan.
  2. Make Oat Mixture: Melt butter in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stir in brown sugar and vanilla. Mix in oats and cook over low heat for 2–3 minutes until blended. Press half into the bottom of the pan. Reserve the other half for topping.
  3. Make Chocolate Layer: Melt chocolate chips and peanut butter in a small saucepan over low heat, stirring until smooth. Spread evenly over the oat crust.
  4. Top: Crumble the remaining oat mixture over the chocolate layer, pressing gently.
  5. Chill: Cover and refrigerate 2–3 hours or overnight. Bring to room temperature before cutting into bars.
