A decadent twist on classic fries, loaded with tender steak, sautéed veggies, and gooey melted cheese — perfect for sharing or indulging solo!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tsp garlic salt
  • ½ tsp ground black pepper
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 8–10 slices White American cheese
  • 20 oz bag waffle fries (McCain Quick Cook or your favorite)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Set oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat olive oil in an oven-safe skillet over medium-high. Add steak, season with garlic salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Vegetables: Reserve 1 tbsp of liquid from skillet, discard the rest. Add bell pepper and onion, cook until tender but crisp. Remove and set aside.
  4. Layer the Fries and Toppings: Spread waffle fries in skillet or baking dish. Place 4 slices of cheese over fries. Add steak and veggies. Repeat layers, finishing with remaining cheese slices.
  5. Bake: Bake 8–10 minutes until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Serve: Remove from oven, cool slightly, and serve hot. Enjoy!
