A sweet, crunchy snack made with pecans, Crispix cereal, and a caramel coating—perfect for sharing!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups pecan halves (salted preferred)
  • 8 cups Crispix cereal
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking soda

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 250ºF (120ºC).
  2. In a large bowl, toss together Crispix cereal and pecan halves.
  3. In a saucepan over medium-high heat, combine brown sugar, corn syrup, and butter. Stir until mixture comes to a rolling boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract and baking soda.
  4. Pour mixture over cereal and pecans, stirring until evenly coated.
  5. Spread coated mixture into a 9×13-inch pan. Bake for 1 hour, stirring every 20 minutes.
  6. Transfer mixture onto wax or parchment paper to cool. Break into pieces once cooled.
