Ingredients:

  • 3½ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2¼ tsp active dry yeast (1 packet)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup warm milk
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tbsp melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 10 minutes until foamy.
  2. Add melted butter, egg, salt, and flour. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. Divide dough into equal pieces and shape into balls. Place in a greased baking dish.
  6. Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
  7. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 18–22 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Brush with melted butter while warm. Serve soft and fluffy!
