- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 1/4 cups warm water
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 2 tsp instant yeast
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil or melted butter
- 1 1/2 tsp salt

- Activate yeast: In a bowl, combine warm water, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Mix dough: Add flour, salt, and oil. Mix until a soft dough forms.
- Knead: Knead for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- First rise: Place dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled.
- Shape: Punch down dough and shape into a loaf. Place in a greased loaf pan.
- Second rise: Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes until puffy.
- Bake: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 25–30 minutes until golden brown.
