Ingredients 🛒

  • 300 g fresh spinach
  • 3 tbsp olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 egg (for filling)
  • Salt, to taste
  • ½ tsp black pepper, freshly ground
  • 250 g ricotta cheese
  • ½ cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 puff pastry sheet
  • 1 egg, beaten with 1 tbsp milk (for egg wash)
  • Sesame seeds (optional, for sprinkling)

Method 👩‍🍳

  1. Prep spinach: Heat olive oil in skillet. Sauté garlic until fragrant, then add spinach. Cook until wilted. Cool slightly.
  2. Mix filling: In bowl, combine spinach, ricotta, mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, salt, and pepper.
  3. Prepare pastry: Roll puff pastry sheet slightly. Spread filling evenly over pastry.
  4. Roll & cut: Roll pastry into log. Slice into 2–3 cm pieces.
  5. Egg wash: Place rolls on baking sheet. Brush tops with egg wash. Sprinkle sesame seeds if desired.
  6. Bake: Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed.
  7. Serve: Enjoy warm as appetizers or snacks.
