Ingredients
- 1 cup (226 g) unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) white granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup (237 ml) lukewarm milk
- 2 cups (250 g) all-purpose flour
- 4 tsp (16 g) baking powder
- ¼ tsp salt
- 2 tbsp (16 g) cocoa powder
- ½ cup (90 g) dark chocolate chips
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, sliced (for topping and filling)
- Optional: whipped cream or chocolate ganache for decoration
Directions 👩🍳
- Preheat oven: 180°C (350°F). Grease and flour two 8-inch round cake pans.
- Cream butter & sugar: Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add vanilla and eggs one at a time.

- Bake: Pour vanilla batter into one pan and chocolate batter into the other. Bake 25–30 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
- Cool: Let cakes cool completely before assembling.
- Assemble: Layer chocolate cake, whipped cream, and sliced strawberries. Top with vanilla cake, then cover with whipped cream or ganache.
- Decorate: Garnish with fresh strawberries and drizzle with melted chocolate.
Tips
- Extra indulgence: Add a layer of strawberry jam between cakes.
