Crunchy, nutty, and dipped in chocolate—these Florentines are a classic treat with a festive twist!
Ingredients
- 100g peeled almonds
- 100g whole hazelnuts
- 100g candied cherries, chopped
- 100g powdered sugar
- 100g butter
- 50g honey
- 50g flour
- 100g dark chocolate (for finishing)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Set oven to 180°C (thermostat 6). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Make Base: In a saucepan, melt butter with sugar and honey over low heat until smooth.
- Mix Ingredients: Remove from heat. Stir in flour, almonds, hazelnuts, and candied cherries until well coated.
- Shape: Drop spoonfuls of mixture onto the tray, spacing slightly.
- Bake: Bake for 10–12 minutes until golden brown. Let cool on tray.
- Chocolate Finish: Melt dark chocolate. Dip the bottom of each Florentine into the chocolate.
- Set: Let chocolate harden before serving.
